Construction crews for WK&T are back on track after delays caused by rain from hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Crews continue to install underground pipe and to pull fiber that will bring lightning-fast internet speeds to Martin as part of the Fiber for Martin project.
Construction continues in the areas near Martin Middle School and Martin Assembly of God on the west side of town.
Sales representatives, who provide project information and sign up customers, continue to visit in the area north of town from North Lindell Street toward the city limits. Fiber was installed in that area first, and final preparations to connect all locations are almost complete.
Customers can also sign up for service at the WK&T office at 207 S. Lindell St. They can also learn about new services, pay bills, receive technical support or find more details about the fiber project in Martin.
WK&T Telecommunications has a collaborative project with the city of Martin to build a cutting-edge fiber optic network within the city limits during the next several months. The project ties the city of Martin to WK&T’s existing fiber network in Fulton.
